Projects:

SGVHS Oral History Project

In 2020, the San Geronimo Valley Historical Society is undertaking a project to conduct monthly interviews with longtime Valley residents, or those with longstanding connections to the area. This project is co-sponsored by the Anne T. Kent California Room at the Marin County Free Library.

SGVHS Memoir Project

Inspired by the San Geronimo Valley Community Center’s 50th Anniversary Community Guide (available for download here), we are collecting written memoirs from Valley residents and former residents in an effort to interject memoir-style storytelling into the historic narrative of this area.

Historic House Concert Series

Every month, the SGVHS hosts a concert in a pre-1950s home in one of the Valley’s four towns. These concerts have included local and visiting artists — from GRAMMY-winning jazz musicians, to local San Geronimo Valley bands. See our Events calendar for more information on upcoming artists and other upcoming and past events.

In the summer months we host three SGV walking tours where we explore some of the historic sites in the Valley. We drive between each village and then walk within the village. See the Events page for upcoming walking tours and other events.
