The San Geronimo Valley Historical Society preserves and honors our Valley's history, on the ancestral lands of the Coast Miwok. We cover the history of the area comprising today’s communities of Woodacre, San Geronimo, Forest Knolls, and Lagunitas, as well as the lands in and around Kent Lake, Shafter, Samuel P. Taylor State Park, and the former community of Jewell.

Please enjoy our extensive, free online digital museum and archive and visit us at our San Geronimo museum and archive location, which is open to the public regularly at no cost.

We post photos and articles regularly on Instagram and Facebook, and occasionally collaborate with the radio show Hollow in the Land on KWMR.

Our book “Images of America: San Geronimo Valley” is available for order through the Book page above, as well as in person at the Lagunitas Grocery, Forest Knolls Garageland, San Geronimo Valley Community Center, and Woodacre Market. Book sales support the San Geronimo Valley Historical Society.
